Stofy

I was born and raised in Rousse, Bulgaria, where my passion for visual art first took shape.
From 1995 to 2000, I studied Depict Art at the High School of Arts “Prof. Veselin Stojanov” in Rousse. I continued my education at the University of “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” in Veliko Tarnovo, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogics of the Depict Art (2000–2004) and later a Master’s degree in Fine Arts – Graphics (2004–2008).

Throughout my artistic journey, I have explored various techniques and traditions. In 2003, I attended a “Mokuhan” Japanese engraving class with master Peter Lazarov, and in 2005, I participated in a wood engraving workshop in Groningen, Netherlands.

My works have been exhibited in several shows, including:

  • “Rousse – The European City of Bulgaria, Myth or Truth?” (Library “L. Karavelov”, Rousse, April 2007)

  • Group Exhibition (European Cultural Center “Elias Canetti”, Rousse, February 2008)

The cityscape and urban spirit of Rousse are my main sources of inspiration. I express them through dynamic drawings created with marker and pen, and I bring color and emotion to my work with pastels.
